Position Overview
As a Social Media Manager at Amazon, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute innovative social media strategies that engage our audience, enhance our brand visibility, and drive customer action. You will work closely with multiple teams, including marketing, customer service, and public relations, to ensure our messaging aligns effectively with Amazon’s core values and objectives. Your deep understanding of various social media platforms will allow you to create tailored content that resonates with our Opelousas audience while capitalizing on broader market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, customer engagement, and community relations.
- Manage and grow our social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, focusing on Opelousas and surrounding areas.
- Create engaging and visually appealing content tailored to specific audiences across social media platforms.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and public relations teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.

- Engage with our social media audience by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
- Create detailed reports highlighting social media engagement, sentiment analysis, and campaign performance for management review.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
- Organize and execute social media campaigns, leveraging local events, happenings, and cultural milestones in Opelousas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role, preferably in a reputable, high-revenue company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to create compelling, engaging content specific to target audiences.
